New Keys and Leaside Winter Series Race.

Hi Everyone.

Just to remind everyone that the locks are due to be changed at the club this week. I have also attached the letter that a few members sent to the trust last month and the responses made to this letter. We will just have to wait and see how the situation pans out with regard to future key holders.

Leaside Race.

At present we do not have an organiser for the Leaside Winter Series Race. The organiser will have to attend a British Canoeing race organiser course. If we cannot find an organiser we will have to cancel the race. The organiser will also become the new Leaside rep for the Flatwater Racing Association.

British Canoeing Membership Fee.

It looks like part of the "Leaside Trust" has been paying for the Leaside Canoe Club membership fee of British Canoeing. None of the existing members were aware that this was taking place as it had never been mentioned by Mickey or Wendy so it looks like in future we will have to pay this fee. I have contacted the BCU and the fee for  a years membership is £165. We obviously have enough in the club accounts to cover this for many years ( see attached letter) however as all race fees that we make are now going to the trust we may need to think about reintroducing a small membership fee of Leaside Canoe Club to cover it.

This does not answer the question whether we will have the keys. I train more regular now but cannot train at same time as you guys neither I can keep up with your pace.
Would you please clarify.

Hi all

I let Danny know a few weeks ago that I am happy to organise the Lesiade winter series race ( with the help of the membership and staff ). I am also happy to represent Leaside on the FRA. My first meeting will be on 21 Sept.

I will also be committing to run one regular weekly early morning training session, details to follow. I will also be running adhoc out of hours sessions that I will advertise via this email group.

I hope this will in some way help out of hours access issues that may arise.
