Leaside sprint race

Hi All,

It is that time again, when Leaside host the flat water association sprint series. The date for this year’s event is the 7^th August 2016. The race is open to all abilities and will be run over 200m and 500m, there will also be a 200m relay (fun race).

 

I am looking for volunteers to help out on the day and also for paddlers to fly the flag for Leaside. I would be grateful if you can let me know your availability and also what duties you can help with. A brief outline of the days event is below.

 

09:30 registration open.

11:00 – 13:00 races

13:00 – 14:00 lunch

14:00 – 14:30 fun race

14:30  -Presentation

 

Duties I need covered.

 

·         Starter and finshers x 4

·         Water safety x 2

·         Safety boat x 1

·         Kitchen staff x 2- 4

·         Car park and boat shed x 1

 

As always we need lots of yummy cakes donated to sell on the day.

 

Please let me know if you can help.

Terry, can you please assist with power boat and pass this on to play boat group?

Rory and I can be the kitchen staff again.  Could I put in a plea for lots of yummy cakes to be supplied.  I brought along a huge amount of cakes for the last Leaside marathon and they all went very quickly.  So the more cakes, the merrier!

I have just had a chat with Terry and gather that nothing in the way of tea, coffee,milk etc are available for tomorrow. Are you providing this?  If you are, please could you also provide drink cans as I think people are going to want cold drinks. 

Please could you confirm that you can kindly provide all this.

Tell you what - We have got lots of cans in our fridge. We will bring them tomorrow in a cool box so at least there are cold drinks available. If the vending machine is working then that's fine but at least we have cold drinks on a hot day.
