Enjoyed reading this very interesting write up. Having been in the
IIT, Kharagpur hostel 47 years back away from my home in Bangalore,
this write up echoed my thoughts and brought back nostalgic memories.
We even knew the name of the postman, a Bengali by name Manik
The moment Manik's cycle bell rang we used to run from our hostel
rooms and/or dining hall
Our lunch time when we were in the dining hall away from the
classrooms and Manik's arrival used to coincide
Thanks for sharing
I do not how I missed this even I too get Hindu regularly
