HacKidemia is a a mobile invention lab that enables future changemakers to crowdcraft physical and virtual artifacts by attending and creating hands-on workshops. City by city, this will kickstart the development of community invention spaces for people of all ages.

So far we organized more than 40 making workshops in four cities around the world (Bucharest, Paris, Berlin, Sofia) and we are about to create two permanent fablabs for children in Brazil and Nigeria.

The purpose is to train local team to facilitate and create this hands-on workshops for Science, Technology and Art, and involve all the members of the community in the process (parents, teachers, students).

All the projects are documented and shared on our wiki of making.

Our project is competing now in Dell's Education challenge. We wish to develop 100 fablabs for children in the next 3 years and use all the data from the hands-on workshops to develop an augmented reality game that will motivate the children, students and parents to solve real social challenges. (See this video which shows how the DIY game could look like)

Please support our project if you find it relevant by voting on the link bellow and inviting your friends to do so. (you need to register in order to vote but the process takes only 2 seconds)
