I just pushed an EasyPublish update to Node01 (and Sandbox), based on improvements we made recently for the GoOpen implementation.

Changes include:
  • improved speed and error catching when importing records from a CSV
  • additional fields: Access Rights URL, Thumbnail URL, Typical Age Range
  • Required fields: URL, title, description, publisher name
  • Subject Area selector is now using our improved list, based on CCSS (also available on github for reuse)
  • Subject Area selector now lets you choose top-level subjects
  • changed field label from “Use Rights URL” to “License URL” to match schema.org spec
  • we removed the Row Delimiter setting — now the tool is just smart enough to figure it out, Mac or Windows or Unix
  • we removed the Import Cell Delimiter Regular Expression setting – make your lists comma-delimited inside a field and it will be happy
  • records will be published with keys of EZPublish-1.5 and EZPublish, so we can slice to find them more easily.

The documentation and CSV templates have also been updated.

Many thanks to Douglas McAuliffe for his help getting these updates in place and tested. I will send out another update when we finish testing the GoOpen implementation. The only noticeable difference is that the License URL field will be required on the GoOpen node.
