We have completed the update to move the Learning Registry Search server (https://search.learningregistry.net) from Mozilla Persona to OpenID Connect. Much like Persona, OIDC is a means of verifying your email credentials for identity purposes, but only stores the email address itself within the system. If you already have an account on the Search server that was setup with Persona, you will be able to continue to use that account, just as long as you have an OIDC account with the same email address. We are using Google, Amazon, and Microsoft as OIDC providers, just as we did with the other LR services.

For example - I created an account on Persona to j...@acme.com and used that to login to the LR Search server and get my API key and/or manage a widget config. After the OIDC update, if I want to login to the server to get the API key again or make config changes to my widgets, I just need to setup a Google, Amazon, or Microsoft account using j...@acme.com as my login.

Of course if you don't have an existing account on the Search server, just click one of the providers to get started. Please let us know if you have any trouble using the search server, with login or otherwise. Thanks. ... .joe
