Archived LR Records

As mentioned previously, in preparation for shutting down the Learning Registry public nodes, we have captured and archived the raw data for each record available on each of the LR nodes. These are available for you to download now (and in perpetuity) from Archive.org:

Each node page contains a list of zip files, with each zip file containing individual JSON files for each record published within a particular month. JSON filenames correspond to the document ID. Please keep in mind that due to distribution of records between nodes, there are duplicates, although you would only see this if you combined all records from all nodes.

Please contact me through this thread if you have questions or run into any problems accessing or using these records. The LR public nodes will be shuttered on September 24, 2018 so there is a very limited amount of time to access the data through the original LR services.

Sad news.

Centralizing the collection of metadata and offering free access via REST services was a *very good idea*!

I was using services on the LR public nodes to conduct research on the use of educational alignments to support exploratory search. Would it be possible to know which private LR nodes, if any, will still be in use?

Thanks for this work Joe. I'd make a minor suggestion that you include a readme text file in each collection with the information you provided above, as well as possibly the envelope structure from the docs. (Basically this section: https://docs.learningregistry.org/en/latest/spec/Resource_Data_Data_Model/index.html#resource-data-data-models)
