Learning Registry PlugFest is less than 2 weeks away! We're looking
forward to seeing you in San Diego.
If you haven't registered yet, it's not too late:

For those who will be participating in the PlugFest (in person or
online)--what are you interested in building? Please take a moment
to introduce yourself and share the projects you're interested in
working on and any relevant links. Perhaps we can start partnering
up and hit the ground running on June 23rd.
Here are some ideas that have been floating around:
Standards ID
cross-reference
- Joe Hobson / Navigation North
We’ve
run into issues where a variety of datasets use differing
identifiers for the same academic standards - ASN, EdGate,
Academic Benchmarks, CCSS official identifiers, etc. Some of these
identifiers are proprietary, others are open and available to the
public. There isn’t currently an open service for translating
identifiers from one promulgator to another. Using same-as
assertion paradata in the LR, you could build a service to
retrieve mappings from one identifier to another, so that if you
found standards alignment data in LR that referenced ASN ID, but
your system uses EdGate, then you could easily translate that
alignment for use in your system.
Javascript
web beacon submissions to LR
- Steve Midgley / U.S. Dept. of Education
Using
the new authentication / node signing system, build some data
collection javascript widgets to permit submission of unsigned but
authenticated inputs to LR, that get signed inside the node and
distributed. Examples could be an LR "like" button that is put on
many different websites for content.
