The WikiEducator User Page Expo ("UPE" to its friends) is an ongoing event to acknowledge WikiEducator user pages that are particularly informative, innovative, visually appealing, or otherwise just plain clever.
We are very happy to announce that
Pankaj (populary known as WikiPankaj) is the WikiEducator User Page Expo winner for August 2013. Let's learn more about him.
UPE Winner for August 2013
Dr Pankaj Khare is Registrar, Student Evaluation Division of
Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, India. He holds a doctorate in Distance Education on
"Datamining applications in Distance education" from a open University in India. in addition to being an expert Geologist and a seasoned Wikieducator, he is a pioneer in the field of open learning! He has more than 23 years of experience in formal and
distance education. He also served at the Commonwealth of Learning as Programme Officer. He has conducted many Learning4Content workshops in face-to-face mode (like at IGNOU, School of Learning at Delhi University; Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota,
Rajasthan etc) and very recently successfully facilitated
L4C54 workshop Learn Wiki Skills for leveraging the potential of Open Educational Resources from June 26 - July 10, 2013. Some of his ongoing projects are
Commonwealth Computer Navigator's Certificate;
Handbook of Open Universities;
Bangladesh Open School Project;
Scenerio Based eLearning Project;
Learning4Content-EoI;
Application of WikiEducator in ODL;
Tutorials on Tables;
Photo Geology - Aerial Photographs etc. He is an elected member of the
WikiEducator Community Council and Interim Advisory Board of
WikiEducator India.
