Hi all,
Are you interested in learning about how to create a dataset for education? Want to know more about reading levels and how natural language processing can improve student access to high-quality, engaging texts?
Join us for a live Ask Me Anything event on Dec. 7 from 12-1pm ET with Michelle Brown, founder and CEO of CommonLit, who spurred the development of open source algorithms that can assess text complexity or “readability.” Together with Scott Crossley from Georgia State University, CommonLit created a powerful dataset for a recent Kaggle competition to help build algorithms to rate the complexity of elementary and secondary reading passages.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about developing a dataset and launching a Kaggle competition.
CommonLit is a nonprofit serving more than 20 million teachers and students with free digital reading and writing lessons for grades 3-12.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me (M...@the-learning-agency.com). We look forward to seeing you at this event!
