Pyle-Pro PED04 Professional Electric Drum Kit: Opinions
I've used both this PylePro kit and the ION Audio Sound Session Complete Electronic Drum Set ($199) as cheap drum kits for my beginner drum students, and the ION is definitely a better product, and worth the extra $20. Here's why the PED04 is not a good buy:- The hi-hat sound cuts off in the middle of the resolution of the sound byte, which always catches you off guard and is frustrating. The ION kit's open HH sound resolves sooner and doesn't jump out as an obvious annoyance.
- The metronome click is this stone-age computer sounding tonal beep that is really annoying. The ION kit is a more standard click.
- The wires are very flimsy and plug right into the front of the module, so you have a big mess of cords sticking out of the front. The ION wires are bundled together and plug into the back of the module with a single pin-connection unit.
- The interface of the module screen reminds me of an ancient calculator; it's only in the upper right part - in the picture, it looks like there's a big screen, but that black area is just plastic.
- The last thing that sucks is that the bolts are not winged, they're just little sticks needing a hex tool to twist. The bolts also come covered in grease in a single bag. So you get your hands full of grease, and have to twist each one with the hex tool, which doesn't fit in most of the spaces you need to tighten. Most other e-kits including the ION one have winged bolts for easy setup.
The kit does work, but I think it's worth the extra $20 to get the ION kit. The other big advantage of the ION kit is that it has built-in songs with it to play along to, and you can turn the drums on or off.
If you want Pyle-Pro PED04 Professional Electric Drum Kit ? I believe its a great looking product with the price. I bought this and I will be really happy using this type of product. It was a fantastic price. I will be very happy with the product. I would recommend it. I'd personally buy another using this store. I was very happy with the product and it arrived quickly. Works perfectly and you can not beat the retail price. Locally the price was better. I would recommend this supplement, the price was right the quality was excellent. You get what you purchase. I almost all not complain though for that price its great. Was while described. Good product to the price. Would recommend to others for sale. This store is a good place to find deals.
