Hi all,
(1) I added a tab to the 2013 Conference Workstream Management document (the right-most tab) where we can all enter in the organizations/listservs that we have in our network. These organizations/listservs should have individuals who may want to attend an education conference. Please take the next 48 hours to put information there about organizations in your network.
(2) Ticketleap is our ticketing software. To login, go to
ticketleap.com, and enter e-mail "
in...@learn-network.org" and password "gonnamakeachange" (a la Michael Jackson). You can use this to monitor the progress of your marketing efforts in real-time, viewing who is registering and from what organizations.
(3) For conference managers in charge of panels:
-- Please ask your panelists some variation of the following: (I will be getting back with edits on panel descriptions tonight, so you may include these questions in an e-mail that contains that panel description as well as the Speaker Guide and Registration Flyer sent around earlier.)
a) "Do you plan to stay at the Conference for the entire day's events including the working lunch discussions and the networking reception at 4pm? If so, would you be interested in helping to lead the discussion at one of our working lunch tables? Through our working lunches, speakers and attendees discuss specific education topics in small groups. This year's topics include Attracting and Retaining Quality Teachers & Leaders, Education Reform in Philadelphia: Where do we stand?, and many more. We sculpt these topics to fit the expertise of the speaker leading each working lunch."
If they will manage a working lunch, note that in the Workstream Management spreadsheet and introduce them via e-mail to Aman or Adam (who will help sculpt a topic that fits their expertise). For our own purposes, also note whether the panelist will stay for the networking reception in the Workstream Management spreadsheet.
b) "Can you please send me a high-resolution image of yourself and a bio less than 150 words for the Conference program?"
-- Please
e-mail Kelly Gorton if any of your panelists has a JD. This is extremely helpful in getting CLE approval (which in turn helps us attract more attendees to the conference).
Thanks for your active involvement in the meeting this evening. Let's keep this momentum going.
Best,
Joe
