Unable to launch and get the Welcome Page of Apache Server : Following webinar series

I am new to Chef and I was following the webinar series 1,2 and 3.

I was using Hosted-chef-server along with Cloudshare Nodes, and Knife.

I was able to create the cookbook, and upload to Chef-server, and then login to node and while I am running "sudo chef-client" I am able to follow the installation of Apache, starting and the index.html, everything.

But while launching the Node server by using the host name/external address in a browser, I am NOT getting the "Hello World".

Kindly help me on this.

What are you seeing when you go to the external address in a browser?

Does accessing the page from the shell work?  curl http://localhost

Hi Nathen, 

Your tutorials are good and easy to follow.

So, I am having the same problem where I cannot access Hello World page from my host browser. 

And the curl command returns me the expected html:

[root@centos63 ~]# curl http://localhost

<h1>Hello World from Chef</h1>

Need help to resolve this!
