Parents, Players, and Coaches
The 2010 Spring Youth Learn to Play Hockey Session is approaching
shortly. Registration is available for all skaters who will be
passing the Hockey 1 class or have a recommendation from one of our
staff to be eligible for the first level of LTPH which is Hockey 2.
The class will start at 3:30 pm on Sunday, April 18th at Sports
Plus.

Class Format
Two skating stations on lobby end, two stick handling stations in
neutral zone, and two shooting/passing stations in the zamboni end.
We warm up for 15 minutes and rotate approx. every 15 minutes thru 3
stations. After the rotations are complete we will take a quick water
break and then we will split the kids up into teams and play two or
three cross ice scrimmages with the time left.
Dates and Times
Sundays 3:30pm to 5pm
4/18, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23, no class 5/30 , 6/6

Players need
1. To at least passed Hockey 1- If your player has not passed
Hockey 1

2. Water Bottle
3. Make sure all of your gear has your name on it.
4. All the hockey gear listed below.

Learn to Play Hockey Program consists of levels Hockey 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Prerequisite is Hockey 1 or player must have the skill set (Hockey 1
is part of the Learn to Skate Program)
Gear required: Listed in order for dressing player
1. Hockey Jock
2. Hockey Shin Guards
3. Hockey Socks go over shin guards and hook to jock to stay in
place
4. Hockey Pants
5. Hockey Skates
6. Shoulder Pads
7. Elbow Pads
8. Jersey (provided-or wear your favorite team or jersey)
9. Neck Guard
10. Hockey Helmet (with full mask and mouth guard)
11. Hockey Gloves
12. Ice Hockey Stick appropriate for age and hand size (straight
bladed sticks are great for beginners if you are not sure if they are
right or left handed hockey player-length of stick should be to the
nose with shoes on.) Hockey tape on the top of the stick (butt end)
and on the blade.
