"מזמור שיר ליום השבת, טוב להודות לד'..."
Most of us have probably walked thousands of miles in our lifetime already. Yet, did we ever give thought to thank Hashem for our feet? "The fact that the feet are, from birth, exactly of the same length is a most purposeful and necessary arrangement. Not only are they symmetrical at birth, but they continue to grow at exactly the same rate all during the time of growth. If not for this planned miracle, men would wobble from side to side, as do persons who are unfortunate enough to have limbs of unequal size.
The feet were created great and broad, so that their soles solidly fix themselves upon the ground and so enable man to carry a burden and remain sturdily standing upon his feet. The foot's sole is not perfectly flat, but slightly arched to be adapted to the unevenness of the soil. (The Crown of Wisdom, Creation)
