      "Wherever we look, we see the overwhelming demonstration of plan and purpose. The common cow is an example. Here are fields of grass which are almost useless to us. But put a cow upon these fields, and this marvelous self-operating machine transforms the grass into milk, butter, cream, white cheese, yellow cheese, and even plastics derived from casein and lactic acid. The cow can also transform the grass into meat and into leather, and where cattle are used to plow and draw wagons, the grass is transformed into work. Picture a machine which is so masterfully designed, whose function is to transform useless grass into the valuable necessities of Mankind, and which not only operates itself but also is able to reproduce machines of the same kind!"
