"מזמור שיר ליום השבת, טוב להודות לד'..."

 "The ordinary nut is eloquent testimony to the wisdom of the Creator. Consider the peanut: The peanut shell is cunningly designed to split in halves to facilitate eating. The peanut has a seam along which it cracks open easily and smoothly; and its meats are protected by tight wrappers, to keep out the ground dust. Here is a plan within a plan, wrappers within the shell.

       Note how the peanut shell is systematically corrugated lengthwise and crosswise. This is a purposeful arrangement to reinforce the strength of the shell; just as lightweight materials (cardboard, lightweight metal cans, lightweight metal roadguards) are corrugated to increase their strength. Observe how the peanut meats are wrapped in attractive red wrappers, but when we look inside of these wrappers we note the absence of color. This demonstrates that the sole purpose of the color is to make the nut meat conspicuous and attractive."
