Yesterday I found out about the project and the book...
It looks great and make me enthusiastic to learn that language
powering my beloved editor without just blindly doing copy & paste of
other's snippets. :-/
I'd been introduced to many imperative languages during my schooling,
then life went into another direction and some time ago I kind of
'came back' to programming...I played with Haskell for quite some
time, but at the end decided to use D for my next desktop app project.
I also try to become familiar with PHP/JS for my web needs and some
python to be able to tweak Roundup tracker.
However, we love & use Emacs despite being relatively new with it, but
seeing no other editor which comes close to it, hope to master Elisp
according to this project's aims & objectives.
Sincerely,
Gour (from -7C Croatia)
