Hi,

So, i gave my old L322 M62 some love this weekend.

SHORT VERSION: I can't get my Range Rover to flush rear window, nothing wrong with the pump in the front and the motor is not clogged, wiper working. is it a Relay? Fuse? or computer chip in rear wiper motor?

Long version: A few months ago my rear wiper worked fine, as did the washer pump (you could here it), but i couldn't get any washer fluid to the rear window. One day the wiper stopped. Since then I have been running with a shabby looking wiper in the middle of my rear window.

This weekend me and a mate took the rear wiper motor out. It hade obviously been clogged together whit rust and wiper fluid. but after a bit of lite exercise and rinse it works fine again. The rear wiper that is. But i couldn't get the rear washer pump going.

First thought - pump failure - but after a test it seems nothing is wrong with it. Checked for obvious failed fuses and nothing there...

So i went and looked for a what relay that controls the rear washer pump. But this is impossible to find. Is there even a relay for this or do any one have a clue where else my problem might be?

I've a similar problem myself ! wiper and washer were both working and I got the usual knock knock knock and the wiper was stopping in the middle of the screen . So I pulled it apart and sure enough the teeth were worn on the white plastic cog

so a replacement of ebay complete with magnet a regrease and rebuid and I thought happy days. But no, I took pictures before I took it apart so all went back the same and now I have no fluid to wiper and it seems to have no sequence as to where it stops on the rear screen also if the stalk is left forward in the on the on position it will do one set wipes and then not go again but also wipes everytime the ignition is turned on, stumped is the word any ideas ?

Also on you tube theres a nice fix for the leaking plastic elbow look at bmw e46 rear wiper its the same motor unit

but no idea if its the same control box, Range rover 4.2 SC 06MY.

My best guess at this point is the controll chip in the actual motor. Since i couldn't locate any specific relay for this function. But maybe it could be the Body Control Module... As i understand it, this is also a part of the electrics for wiper and washers..

Thanks! The thing is I think there's something wrong with the electric. I connected the rear washer pump direct to 12v and it runs fine. But it doesn't respond to "normal" start (pushing the wiper-leaver forward). i.e i can't get a washer signal from the drivers seat to the back off the car...

Windows Washer 6.5 is a complete tool for cleaning the system up, by removing all the unused parts of previous programs uninstallations, that might have left behind unnecessary trails.

Also, the Windows Washer utility can clean all the history and/or cache from selected items, such as Internet Explorer, Start Menu and Directory recent activity, Instant Messaging activuty, Windows Disk Error Temp Files, Windows Document History, Windows Media Player, Recycle Bin, Windows Search History, Windows Temporary Files, etc. to make the system operation much lighter.

The general Options window brings the possibility of setting Program Settings: load Washer at system startup, several alerts before the Wash actions begins, etc.

Bleach Settings allows the user to set the erasing procedure according to some of the safest standards: DOD 522.22M - 3 passes, NSA - 7 passes, Gutmann - 35 passes, or let the application perform a random erasing.

At last, the application offers the unique feature of creating a security bootable disk (floppy or CD) and completely bleach the entire hard disk drive. This could be useful when the computer is going to be given away to someone else and the user wants to completely remove everything (including Operating System).

So my wife has a 2015 and the rear washer won't squirt. Front works fine. I took the lines apart at the nozzle at the lift gate under that panel and there's two lines coming from the tank by the hinge for the hood passenger side. I shot air through the one I determined that was for the back window and it seemed fine. I had her in the car working the controls. When she activates the front wipers you can hear the pump easily and it'll shoot fluid across the driveway with the line disconnected but when the rear is activated no fluid and you cannot hear the pump. Are there two pumps in these things or a fuse I need to check or something?

When the rear window washer switch is activated, the SCCM sends the request to the driver side windshield wiper motor assembly through the LIN. The driver side windshield wiper motor assembly energizes the rear washer relay (located in the BJB) and activates the rear window wiper motor. When the driver side windshield wiper motor assembly activates the rear window wash relay, voltage is provided to the washer pump, directing washer fluid to the rear window. When the switch is released, the rear window wiper motor continues to operate for 3 additional wipes and then turns off.

The washer pump is controlled by the driver side windshield wiper motor assembly. The front and rear washer system share the same washer reservoir and a bi-directional washer pump. The washer pump delivers washer fluid to the windshield when the ECU in the driver side windshield wiper motor assembly activates the internal windshield washer relay, which provides voltage to the washer pump. Ground for the washer pump is provided through the rear washer relay (located in the BJB). When activated, the washer pump delivers washer fluid to the windshield.

If its freezing where your at, there's a possibility that when your reservoir ran dry there wasn't a sufficient amount of washer antifreeze in the solution and due to the length of the run as well as being exposed to freezing temperatures, the water line froze. (I've had this happen). The test is to warm up the car, nice and warm, and if it starts working, there was water in the line.

The second possibly a clogged spray nozzle. Try a thin piece of wire to push the clog out of the way. Otherwise you'll need to pull the rear hatch trim, pull the nozzle and either blow it out or replace.
