Hi when i close SteelSeries gg software and the default windows driver change ts3 crashes.
this is the error:
ERROR Windows Audio Session [Playback] RenderDeviceContext callbackWaits2 wait exceeded 5 secs 258 - SteelSeries Sonar - Chat (SteelSeries Sonar Virtual Audio Device)

Downloaded GG yesterday to take advantage of the slide function on my SteelSeries headset, and when I close or open GG for some kind of reason TS3 crashes when trying to interact with it. Happened to a friend to. He uninstalled GG and TS3 stopped crashing.

Same here. Everytime when I connect to a server or if I want to close TS the app freezes and crashes. After starting TS3 again, I can connect without error and can see myself on the server until I time out ^^.

As I stated before, the problem is not easy to reproduce. I just tested with, also with both the stable version of TS3, as well as with the beta version. And I switched between both hardware and software devices including NVIDIA Broadcast. When it crashes for you with any device switch, I have to assume it is not related to TeamSpeak itself but rather a faulty plugin. Try starting the client in safemode and ensure no plugins are loaded by checking in the settings. Also you may want to provide a crashdump if you really want any help.

I have a crash and a hang in two slightly different - but probably related - scenarios when using TS3. I can reproduce these with a 100% success rate when switching my (playback) default communications audio device.

Under certain unknown conditions, one does not need to open the Options UI to trigger this hang. It may be that when connected to a server, it happens when my client would receive, for example. I do not usually interact with TS3 to trigger it, but this process makes it easily reproducible.

Scenario 2 did not used to occur with an older version of TS3 - I have been using a script to automate changing audio devices for a very long time. I actually discovered scenario 1 whilst performing testing around 2. I will try to ascertain which versions this change occurred between.

After reading up on teamspeak it might have something to do with installing the program for all users, which will then use each user's virtualstore to actually run the program and I'm thinking that is why I get the UAC notification.

If a Windows program is installed in the default Windows program directory and UAC is enabled, it is write-protected. The virtualstore was made to support legacy apps that must put their data into the program directory. If a program attempts to write something into it's program directory, Windows redirects the write operation and the files are written to the virtualstore directory instead. Windows then merges the two directories, so the user doesn't notice that and thinks it is all one directory

To fix this I reinstalled Teamspeak and installed it outside of the Program Files directory, this eliminates the problem of needing access to edit files in the virtualspace and therefore stops the UAC notification!

So with receiving the free windows 10 update i went for it and got w10. Somewhere along the update it messed up so I decide to do a clean installed and whip my entire hard drive and do a fresh install.
This worked like a charm and fixed any issues I had with win 10.

After that I re downloaded arma 2 and arma 2OA as usual ran it once to do all the Battle eye updates. After that I got my play with six and the repository I use for the server i play on and downloaded everything. Launched the game and everything was working splendid accept one mod.. ACRE.

I'm using the old version of teamspeak 3.0.11.1 which everybody else in my unit uses so that's not the issue.
I've copie pasted the ACRE win 32.dll and win 64.dll from acre to my team speak plugins that didn't fix it either.
Changed some settings in teamspeak itself which sometimes causes problems with acre but that also didn't fix it.
I'm force running my game as administrator trough the game option in pw6.

If I run my teamspeak as administrator I get the error ingame which says. Acre is not connected to teamspeak
When im not running teamspeak as administrator I get this error.

With both running my TS as admin and just starting it up normally reloading plugins doesn't fix it.

So first off all I'm wondering if there's more people who have upgrade to win10 and have issues with acre
And of course second I want to know some addition tips or possible fixed to get this error out of my game :D

same here mate. im having this exact same problem. reinstalled arma 2 , 2 times and still nothing. i tried all the possible troubleshoots but to no avail. acre is just not working for my ts3. have you found a solution yet?? my problem is almost as same sa you but it may not be a pipe error but in my case its not connecting at all

Did either of you ever solve this problem? I'm trying to get an Arma 2 group going, running my own Arma/TS3 server, and I can connect just fine - but a friend, who's followed all the instructions, can't get "Arma 2 connected: YES". No idea how to help him, since the same thing works at my end.

You guys might try to restart your TS3 as admin after you join the game server. I have problem that my ACRE never works on first time after joining server, but after restart of TS it works.

I use TFAR as my main Radiomod when playing with my clan. ACRE i use only on servers that require it. Lately i was helping to instal TFAR to 8 people using different versions of WIndows with no problem.

What i would do is install DIAL: then search online how to install a low
latency kernel a basic desktop of your choice (Just to make life easier)
and virtual audio cables for linux teamspeak has a linux installation as
well.. Their are several sip phone clients available out their on the
market and you could probably setup what ever needed to link into your
allstar node.. As far as machine speed and other info well I would at
least have 2 gigs of ram at minimum and recommend at least 4 gb of ram
if you really have to use a windows program in linux look at wine.. I
don't recommend this always try to find a linux alternative.. If your
wanting to run this computer off of 12 for power fail-over and other
needs check out a pico power supply..

Best of luck I hope i have pointed you in the right direction this is
not to say you couldn't get this done with the pi but you might have
issues with locking open allstar and i guarantee you don't want that..

Hosting a TeamSpeak server does not have particularly demanding needs, but it is important to maintain seamless operation, especially if you estimate a large number of users or plan on running different services on the same computer. Here are the basic prerequisites.

Operating System: TeamSpeak Server software can be downloaded for Windows, Linux, and Mac. Select an operating system that you are familiar with and that is suitable for your server environment.

Software Dependencies: TeamSpeak Server software itself doesn't require many dependencies beyond basic system libraries, but ensure that your chosen OS is up to date and includes required libraries.

Firewall and Ports: Ensure that necessary ports are open for communication. TeamSpeak uses UDP ports by default (usually 9987 for voice, 30033 for file transfers, and 10011 for server-query). You may need to configure your firewall to allow traffic on these ports.

Security: To address any security dangers, update the operating system and TeamSpeak Server software on a regular basis. Also, use strong passwords and think about extra safety precautions like whitelisting IP addresses or firewall restrictions.

Monitoring and Management: Tools for monitoring can assist maintain track on the server's performance and user activities. Think about implementing backup methods to avoid losing information in the case of hardware failure or other concerns.

Setting up the Teamspeak 3 server on Windows is easy. All you have to do is download the VoIP application and install it. After installing, start the server on your computer and enable port forwarding on your computer using the default gateway.
