Our speaker for the March 19 workgroup is Brett Willis, Sustainability Coach. Brett brings over 13 years of experience in the Sustainability arena. As a former Plant Manager, Brett has first-hand experience leading teams in the implementation of Continuous Improvement and Sustainability initiatives.

As Director of the Green Enterprise Movement and a Senior Sustainability Coach with HPS Inc., Brett now spends a majority of his time helping organizations across North America accelerate their journey towards Sustainability.

Brett has worked with numerous organizations across a broad sector of industries from government and health care to manufacturing and agriculture.

The focus of Brett’s work includes: Vision and Culture Development, Application of Lean and Continuous Improvement Tools, Energy & Water Conservation, Material Optimization, Waste Diversion, Development of Greenhouse Gas Inventories and Reduction Strategies, Developing Sustainability Plans and Corporate Social Responsibility Reports.

As facilitator of 4 Sustainability Consortiums, Brett has the opportunity to regularly work with leading, sustainability minded organizations keeping him in touch with the latest innovations in Sustainability ensuring clients are utilizing the latest thinking, information, techniques and tools needed to compete and win in the new economy.

A sought after speaker on the topic of Sustainability, Brett provides lectures and keynote addresses to crowds at conferences and seminars across North America on topics related to Sustainability and Continuous Improvement.

As Professor of Green Business Management at Seneca College in Toronto, ON., Brett is helping to prepare the next wave of Sustainability Change Agents to enter the workforce.

Brett lives in Toronto and is the author of “Green Intentions: Creating a Green Value Stream to Compete and Win” a book that presents a systematic process for organizations to go green profitably, a process that is based on lean thinking. Brett holds a BA in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University.
