PG Vargis
UPDATE: pg and lilly vargis – dated 9 Feb 2016.
As you are aware I left home about two months back and preached in Maharashtra, Andhra, Karnataka and coast to coast of Kerala.
My last leg was Kasargod district – extreme northern border of Kerala which is tough, barren and resistant. We invested about Rs. 100000 in this district for a pastors seminar and 3 days crusade. My heart cried at the statistics of this district.
I invited all the pastors and preached to them. I gave a packet of books free to all of them so the books will speak to them even after I will leave.
I preached in a three days convention and the result was incredible. The town hall was full and I saw one third of the crowd accepting the Lord and saying the sinners’ prayer. The Lord healed many and the testimonies thrilled me.
I am on my way to Delhi. I will reach home tomorrow.
Lilly: She had a cataract surgery on an eye last week. I could not be with her as my meeting was publicized in the magazine and TV but Aby and his wife Babitha who is a medical surgeon were with her. Lilly is resting at home. Next Friday she will have the cataract surgery on the other eye also.

I was supposed to travel after a few days, but because of Lilly’s surgery I will stay back to be with her for 20 days. Then again I will be in the villages of north India for exactly 60 days.
2. Kumbh Mela: Pray for this largest religious festival of the world which will be held from April 22 to May 21 at Ujjain, MP State. IET got involved in this Hindu gathering by distributing literature and showing movies since 24 years back. The Govt. is expecting 100 million people this year. (see the web)
IET will be doing prayer walk and distribution of evangelism books and Johns gospels – as the Lord will provide. We solicit your prayer and contribution. It will cost Rs. 15 for a book. Or Rs. 1500 for 100, or Rs. 15000 for 1000.
The naked Hindu holy men come out of the Himalayas only once in 4 years to take part in this holy bath. If we will place a book in their hand and or a Johns gospel, they will carry it back and will read in their leisure time.
This is an opportunity. Let us do what we can.
3. IET LEADERS MEETING:
100 IET leaders and pastors will gather from 15 to 20 March in our Bible college at Pipariya. I hope some of you can join us and meet our missionaries. You will be blessed to see the missionaries from 23 states of India, Nepal and Bhutan.
