Tonight, Friday, April 27th, ABC News World Report with Charles Gibson
will feature Iraq war veteran and Paralympic hopeful Kortney Clemons
in
their Person of the Week profile. The show will air between 6:30-7:00
p.m. EASTERN TIME.
Clemons, who served as an Army medic in Iraq, lost his right leg
above-the-knee in 2005 after being hit by an explosive device while
tending to a wounded comrade.
During his rehabilitation, Clemons came to the Colorado Springs
Olympic
Training Center to participate in one of the USOC Paralympic Military
Sports Camps. Since then, Clemons has been named to the U.S.
Paralympic
Powerlifting Team that will compete at the 2007 Parapan American
Games.
He is also attempting to qualify in track & field.
