Dear Friends of the Leadership Forum at Silver Bay,
WOW! What a terrific conference two weeks ago. Our family is
still buzzing. The insights and the inspiration kept on flowing.From
the thrilling, chilling bobsled run to the ping, ping , ping of the
biathlon targets. From Jim Loehr's water moccasins, crocodiles, boars
and full engagement to Robin Abramson's most admired leadership
traits. From the calming meditations of Geoff Crinean to the hilarious
histrionics on the softball field. From the compelling W.L. Gore story
as told by Jane, Jim, and Josh to Kris Downing's reminder to study the
tools of our own "positive disobedients". From sled hockey slap shots
and spills to the "rock stars" Dick Pryor and Frank Tetz belting out
Puff the Magic Dragon. From Charlie Huebner's dedication to his
mission to the extraordinary welcome by the U.S. Olympic Training
Center staff and athletes. And throughout it all, the grace, presence,
and inspiration of April Holmes, Alexi Salamone, Kortney Clemons,
Richard Bernstein, and Tina Pihl!
The conference was a Gold Medal event!
While these Leadership Forum memories are still fresh, do your
friends and colleagues a favor. Please send them a Save the Date Card
or an email Share your excitement about Silver Bay and invite them
to join us at next year's 90th Anniversary Forum, from July 9-12,
2008. As Clint Kofford, next year's Chair indicated, planning is well
underway to make the 90th the " Best Ever". Top talent and thought
leaders are being tapped to participate, a host of special activities
are on the agenda, and the first Leadership Forum at Silver Bay awards
will be unveiled. We fully expect 100 delegates will be joining our
community's continuing dialogue on leadership. The theme is ''Leading
the Way"; so please pick up on that and Lead the Way to Silver Bay.

P.S. For those of you who missed the 89th, we missed you. "Amazing
Awaits" is a brand new US. Olympic declaration that was movingly read
to us by Paralympians April Holmes, Kortney Clemons, and Alexi
Salomone.
