Hey Everyone,
It has been a little while since I've written.
The only specific Update I need to make before sending out a new Sponsorship proposal is that we have finalized the new non-profit Corporation. As mentioned before the Community LIFE Network was always intended to be a volunteer only organization, and we have always had the intention of getting back to that original structure.
This new non-profit will be spinning off from the Community LIFE Network with all the sponsored projects that are currently paying people as contractors or employees. At first we thought we would call the new corporation the "Everything Network Inc." but we decided to go with the centerpiece of the Everything Network, which is the World Collaborative for Transformative Community (WC.TC). So the new umbrella corporation that will oversee all of the sponsored charity projects that have or want to have paid workers will now be under the WC.TC. The Everything Network still umbrella's the WC.TC and will continue to exist as the bridge between the CLN and WC.TC, but the corporation itself will from now on be the WC.TC and the WC.TC Board & WC.TC Council, although it is possible to change the name just like all corporations.
All sponsored projects both new and old will still be able to use the Community LIFE Network name and tax id, and in 2-3 years the WC.TC will have its own independent charity tax status. This change is ONLY internal to our network in all context of how grants and fundraising is done, everything external will remain the same, and the only short term change you will experience is having a new set of bank accounts. This new bank accounts will have to be used for all HR contractor or employee payments, and sponsored projects are welcome to transfer their entire budgets to these new accounts as needed, but you will still have access to your Community LIFE Network accounts as needed.
Within the next few weeks, we will be setting up NEW bank accounts for all the existing Sponsored Projects with HR personnel, that are currently under the Community LIFE Network, and starting in Jan 2017, all personnel payments for contractors or employees will have to go through the WC.TC bank accounts and tax ID. At that time, Jan 1st 2017, the Community LIFE Network will become an ALL volunteer organization with no paid workers within all of its sponsored projects. We will be in touch with each project independently to finalize how you want to move forward with creating your new account. Everyone will be able to get either a credit union or US Bank account for free, if you want a Wells Fargo or other Bank, it may cost additional funds to pay the on-going costs.
Please let me know if you have any questions and which bank you would like your new account to be set up within.
