Please spread the word to our Pakistani students who are interested to study in the United States in a much cheaper cost. Any international student who comes to a state university in the US has to pay an extra out-of state tuition fee along with the in-state tuition. The out-of state fee is often two to three times the in-state tuition.
The University of New Orleans (UNO) in the United States has started a scholarship for the international students (and also out-of state students) to provide a waiver of the out-of state portion of the tuition fee. The scholarship will help the university to attract high quality students from international (and out-of state) universities. Every admitted international student whose GPA is greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 (based on the evaluation carried out by UNO admissions office) is automatically granted with the UNO Privateer Scholarship which waives the out-of-state fee. Therefore, these qualified international students would pay the in-state tuition as long as they maintain a good standing status.
