“Often a noble face hides filthy ways.”
Euripides

Have you ever felt like someone you trusted tricked or betrayed you
because they said all the right things but behind the scenes they
were working on a different agenda?
We all know of leaders, politicians or business owners who seemed
professional, compassionate and trustworthy until we later learned
of their hidden unethical or selfish behavior.
All of us are human. None of us is perfect. But as much as
possible, when we are leaders it is important for us to be
consistent in our public and private positions on issues that
affect key stakeholders.
It is foolish to believe that you can tell three groups of people
three different (and conflicting) messages indefinitely. It is
dangerous to pit key stakeholders against each other by only
sharing selected information with each group.
Leaders bring people together, create shared vision, build strong
teams and accomplish goals with and through others. And great
leaders know that everything done in the dark will, at some point,
come into the light.
Think . . . and act . . . like a leader!
