Good morning,
Good news! The Philadelphia Fed is featured in this Discovery Channel program: “The Secret Life of Money,” that airs at 9 p.m. this Saturday. I worked behind the scenes coaching my colleagues in cash. It was a great project and I’m been waiting three long years – believe it or not – for it to be produced and scheduled.
The clip is really cool, so even if you can’t watch the program, check it out. I’ve also included Discovery’s press release, a link to the trailer, a relevant clip from the program about the Fed
In 2010, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s Cash Services and Public Affairs departments began working with a New York documentary film company, Partisan Pictures, on an hour-long television documentary to help the public better understand the Fed’s unique role in the payments system. The result is “Secret Life of Money.,” Opening our vault doors to a film crew afforded us a unique opportunity to speak directly to the public about the Federal Reserve System and its inner workings.
Regarding KIPP, I have been checking the site because I was hoping the aspiring writer I interviewed would send her resume, but she hasn’t – yet.
Take care,
