Iam looking for advice on using a Zebra printer with Macintosh OS 10.6.8. I do not have the Zebra printer yet. It would be part of a packaging system from Quadrel. Both Zebra and Quadrel do not officially support Mac OS. The printer itself would be a 110PAX4 printer engine. As configured I would be able to connect to it wired or wirelessly using an ip address. I see that the Mac OS has 4 zebra printer drivers, including a ZPL (Zebra Programming Language) driver. I just need to print simple text labels for inventory, not even barcodes.

How much time can you invest in solving this? I ask because I have developed a generalized system for Zebra printers using a web front end. Short summary - on submitting forms the system creates zpl files which are then sent to the printer. The system is apache/php/mysql based so would require some work in initial setup - but on the up side its extremely flexible and is independent of printer drivers. I currently have a distributed labeling system producing hundreds of labels per week so I know it to be reasonably robust.

I can't answer your question yet but I can tell you the throwing $250 at Parallels / W7 doesn't make it easy.. I can't get the printer to communicate. I bought a Serial to USB adapter, which might or might not be the problem. No clue what you are supposed to do when the windows wizard asks what port you are connected to and lists 50 random looking choices.

theres an app called FixZPL that does a really good job at printing ZPL files without having to install any plugins, drivers or modding files. The app is standalone and all you do is drag the files onto it. Theres a video on the site that shows you how it works. We use it to print about 20 labels per week, not much but it saves us hours of headaches and worth the price as we get more orders in. So far no issues and all the labels we have printed are crisp with no pixilation. App website is www.fixzpl.com. Hope this helps anyone looking for a solid solution.

Hey. I have many zebra QLN 320 printers with bluetooth. We work with them every day; they are connected to an ipad tablet. Many printers have stopped working, our ipad do not see them on bluetooth. Periodically and to this day the printer stop working. They used to work, MFI is present in them, but not a single ipad tablet with different ios does not see them. I updated many of the printers to the latest firmware V68.20.10Z, but this did not help, I also reset the cache, reset the settings, but it does not help. In Russia, no service center can understand the problem, they say the technical part is all right.

The Oak has a beautiful light brown to yellow brown hue. It is an essence which has a good material yield, which is quite easily machined, giving a perfectly smooth and silky surface finish. In outdoor use, it is therefore advisable to protect it with a tannin blocker saturator if you want to maintain a homogeneous color.

Found in East Africa, ebony has a high color saturation and a natural glossy sheen. Due to the depth of tone, the typically straight grain is not easily distinguished, although it is fine and uniform in texture. The hardness of ebony can make working with ebony difficult, so tools are regularly checked and sharpened to reduce pulling and poor edge quality.

Different species of sandalwood are found all over the world. Sandalwood oil has been used for centuries in cosmetics, oriental medicine, and religious ceremonies. Different species of sandalwood are used, each chosen for its unique and varied color. Red, black / brown and green sandalwood can all be seen in our line.

The heartwood of olive wood is usually cream or yellowish brown in color, with contrasting dark brown or black streaks. The color will deepen with age, with tones of gray and bronze. The olive tree is sometimes depicted with a curly or wavy grain.

Brazilian rosewood can vary in color from a dark chocolate brown to a lighter purplish or reddish brown, with darker and contrasting veins. The black streaks can sometimes form a single grain pattern that is sometimes referred to as "spider web" or "landscape", very similar to Ziricote. The lighter yellowish sapwood is clearly demarcated from the heartwood.

The Koa is a species native to Hawaii and is widely considered to be the most beautiful of the native hardwoods. Although softer than many of our used wood species, Koa wood machines exceptionally well and provides a smooth finish with a beautiful natural sheen. Depending on the harvest season, Koa wood will produce tones ranging from medium golden to reddish brown, similar to mahogany.

Maple is found all over the world, but the hard maple wood in our watches comes from northeastern North America. Unlike our other woods which use the central heart of the tree, our maple watches are made from the outer rings, known as sapwood. The grain is typically straight with slight waves and has a fine, uniform texture. Maple is fairly easy to work with, but care must be taken not to overheat the tools, as maple burns easily.

Purpleheart wood comes from the Solomon Islands. The wood has a naturally rich purple color. The grain pattern is generally fine and has very straight lines. Although it is difficult to cut at high speeds, a beautiful and durable finish is created when worked correctly.

Yours looks beautiful; the stripes came out perfectly and the cake looks very moist. I had never heard of a zebra cake until I opened this cook book. Well, I'd heard of zebra cakes, but it's a Little Debbie concoction of a yellow cake and white filling drenched in a white glaze type thing with a chocolate stripe glaze which makes it Zebra. This cake was very fun to make though :)
