Exeter Community Share Offer

Could you help publicise this offer?
ECOE hopes to raise finance to put Solar PV panels on 9 large roofs, community or council owned and Shillingford Organics.  These installations, if they go ahead, have a generating capacity of 300kW and could save 2,575 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.

The share offer is open now, offering investors an expected return of 5%, and in addition expects to pay £250,000 into a fund for community projects over 20 years .  The minimum amount to go ahead,  £50,000, has already been reached; the aim is £390,000 on this and the subsequent share offer.   This offer closes on 27th November so that investors can count up to a third of their investment against tax (EIS).  There will be a second offer in the New Year, without this benefit.  Details including the share offer document are available on the ecoe website.

The launch party at Stephen Scown solicitors, Southernhay, is tonight Tuesday at 6.30 - 9 pm and will also have documents available.

Applications can be made online using a BACs payment. If you wish to pay by cheque you can download and print out the application form here. All you need to do is fill it in, sign it and send it back to us with a cheque made out to Exeter Community Energy Ltd to: ECOE Ltd, 3 Redhills, Exeter, Devon, EX4 1TP

You can also obtain paper copies of the share offer by ringing 01647 24789

Subject: Blueskin Wind: PledgeMe friends 2015 update
From: Scott Willis <blueski...@gmail.com>

Dear all,
Thank you again for all your wonderful Pledge Me support, for both the 2013 campaign to install the 30 metre wind testing tower and for the 2014 campaign to install solar panels on BRCT HQ. This latter campaign has not only ensured we installed solar panels and became an energy positive office, but also means we can show all the people who come looking what micro generation looks like, and does. Today we've generated 5.1 kW hours already.
But what I really want to give you a heads up about are a couple of big breakthroughs that have happened this year, and that are about to go public.
Firstly, earlier this year we secured the lease for the land on Porteous Hill above Blueskin Bay - something we'd been working on for 2 years. This lease gives us the legal right to proceed with Resource Consent and later development of the site and 100 years use of the land for a wind farm.
Secondly, and thanks to a wonderful lot of pro bono support and expertise, we were able to complete the Resource Consent application and this was submitted to the Dunedin City Council (DCC) on the 2nd of October. After an initial appraisal the DCC informed us that the application was very thorough and could proceed. This will be a fully notified consent process.
We anticipate that the Resource Consent application will be fully notified on Wednesday the 4th of November, and there's a period of time for public submissions then it is considered by planners and dealt with by committee and a result is delivered down the track. We are going to run into the Christmas break - everything will shut down then, but we are confident that we have a strong application and are hopeful that there will be many positive submissions.

Right now, I want to give you all a heads up and thank you for all your support which has allowed us to get this far. The next 12 months will be full of action and look out for more information on the Resource Consent application early next week. We are very happy that the expert reports we've received note that there is significant positive impact from this proposed development and minor to negligible impact with the ability to mitigate. We expect to get NZ's first community initiated wind farm up and running speedily once the Resource Consent is secured!
Best
Scott
