The Tahitian hymns have been typed in in both Tahitian and French (both languages are side-by-side in the Tahitian hymnbook). We might not have to worry too much about it yet, but how will we display both languages together in the app? For example, Hymn #1's title is entered as "Le jour paraît, chassant la nuit / Te Hiti Mai Nei te Mahana." That's how it is in the hymnbook, but it makes a really long title for the iPhone screen. Then, each verse and chorus is typed first in Tahitian, then in French.
Even though there's also a French hymnbook, we can't just get rid of the French for two reasons, 1) people in Tahiti presumably use both at the same time, and the corresponding hymns have the same hymn number, and 2) there are (I think) 8 hymns that are in the Tahitian hymnbook, with both Tahitian and French words, that aren't in the French hymnbook.
We could somehow put them in as different "instances" of the same hymn in the same hymnbook, like we're doing for Men’s Choir versions, etc.; or we could figure out some way to display both at the same time in an easy-to-read format...
