Brethren & Sisters,

We are in urgent need of development help for various mobile applications for the Church.  These applications include:

Mormon Channel Mobile Applications

For those of you who do not know, the Mormon Channel is an radio service produced by the Church.  This project is to take the radio feed along with other recorded media, and make them available on various mobile platforms.  The iPhone version has been released since June and has been downloaded in over 50 countries.  However we want to make the technology available on other platforms.  You can read more about the project here:

Although work has been started on some of these platforms, we would like help with the following:

• iPhone - We have V1 done and are trying to finish a V2.
• Android
• Blackberry
• Palm Pre
• Windows Mobile

Scriptures Mobile Applications

We continue to make great progress on having official scriptures on the various platforms.  We have teams working hard to deliver these products but could use more help.  Here are the platforms we need the most help with.  

• Android - The team is just getting off the ground.
• Blackberry - The team has a great start but could because of time constraints, there is still much more to do.
• Palm Pre - The product is close to a beta version but we can always use more help.
• Windows Mobile - The team has done a great job but is running into time constraints.

We specifically need people who have time THIS MONTH to donate to these projects.  We know that December is typically a very busy month for everyone.  However if you are in the position where you can devote hours to one of these projects we can use your help and will get you engaged with one of our teams ASAP.  Our goal is to release product by the end of the year or in January at the latest.  We desperately need programmers to help out at this stage.  If you have time you can dedicate, please let me know immediately.
