I happened on this app (web version) about a year ago or so. Love it. Just downloaded it.

I decided to test it out. I looked up a David O. McKay talk from 1965 about Free Agency. According to the site http://scriptures.byu.edu/sci/ if you click/tap a link in the Android app it should open the Gospel Library reference. Well, I tapped on the first reference that I came to: D&C 76: 1-2, 5. It opened an app all right. Just not sure WHAT app. It still has the title bar... It appears that it links directly to LDS.org and NOT the Gospel Library app. Not sure if that is a bit of malformed code or what. But that is NOT what I expected.

I attached a screen shot. Sorry but the app messes with the colors. Not sure why... guess I am too cheap to buy a real app....

Chris,

I helped develop the first version of the Android Gospel Library app, and I built in the ability for other apps to call Gospel Library with a request to display a specific scripture.  Apparently the team took that linking feature out of later versions, which has broken the linkage in the current Citation Index app.  So our app falls back to loading the scripture from LDS.org.  We intend to fix this in a future version so we load content from our own database.  Recently most of our energy has been going into the iPad app.  We hope in the near future to work on bringing those enhancements over to the Android app, which needs an upgrade for later versions of Android and for larger form factors (tablets).

Thanks for using the app and for sharing your feedback.  We hope to give the Android app the TLC it needs soon.
