Hello everyone! An opportunity you definitely want your youth (and leaders) to know about: The Music Workshop this year includes a large "Instant Youth Choir," conducted by Merrilee Webb, our special guest. She is very well known and loved for her work with youth, and is promising an unforgettable experience for youth from the Portland area. Details are in the email below. An amazing experience for youth... Join Merrilee Webb's “Instant Choir”! For Youth 12-18 Saturday, February 26th, 2011 3:00pm - 4:30pm Get a fun, enlivening, musical experience shared with other youth from all over the Portland area. No musical skill required! Just the desire to enjoy the company of other kids and have a great time. Register by this Sunday (February 20) to guarantee your spot! Registrants after February 20th will be limited to the first 100.

Merrilee Webb is loved by youth and young adults all over the country whom she has directed in a variety of choirs, including some church-wide broadcasts. She is often seen conducting combined choirs in general auxiliary meetings, and just returned from teaching at Brigham Young University Hawaii. She is traveling across the country to show us just how much you can do with youth and music. Leaders are encouraged to attend as well. The Merrilee Webb Instant Choir is put on as part of the 2011 Portland Regional LDS Music Workshop. All events are held at the Beaverton Stake Center. Youth, their leaders, and families are welcome to attend any of the other workshop sessions.
