Hello LDMudders,

The LDMud team is pleased to announce the release of LDMud 3.6.8 as
the latest stable LDMud release.

This release contains mostly bug fixes, including some crashes, but also a
few new features. We recommend the update to 3.6.8 for users of LDMud 3.6.
We also released LDMud 3.5.8, which only contains the fixes for crashes
that were applicable to LDMud 3.5. However we strongly recommend migrating
to LDMud 3.6, as we might not be able to support LDMud 3.5 much longer.

LDMud 3.6.8 brings the following new features:
* Added a new efun to_type(), a generic and recursive conversion function.

* Added a configuration flag --enable-anl for asynchronous name lookup
for net_connect() and new interactives using the C-Ares library instead
of the ERQ.

* The Python API was extended to support tracing
(see https://pypi.org/project/ldmud-tracing/), most notably:
- Added BEFORE_INSTRUCTION hook to be called for every instruction.
- Added ldmud.call_stack property to query the current stack.
- Added ldmud.register_struct() function to register a global struct
definition.

LDMud 3.5.8 can be downloaded from:

A list of changes can be found in the HISTORY file in the driver sources.
