Hi all,
Next Tuesday, April 7th, we will be kicking off a series of sessions focusing on the following topics:
  1. How AI/ML relate to discovery
  2. Ethical considerations of the use of AI/ML in these contexts
  3. How linked data and AI approaches can work together to support discovery

For each session in these series, we will focus on specific topic areas and, prior to the sessions, share the readings or videos we will discuss.  Although we will not require participants to have read or viewed the materials beforehand, being familiar with the readings or videos listed for that session should help the group to have more in-depth discussions.

Our first session will introduce the main motivation and topic areas for this series.  The primary article we will focus on for discussion is:

As a reminder, LD4 Discovery Affinity Group sessions are open to all.  Furthermore, our sessions support informal discussion and value participants’ insights and suggestions.  As such, we are not embarking on this series of sessions with the assumption that any of us have are the experts in these areas and welcome your contributions and questions.
