HI, I want download Lc0 on my laptop pc.

My GPU is not so good and CPU good (Intel Core i7 8550 and Intel UHD Graphics 620 - see attachment please -).
I thought that it is an indication to download CPU release (I'm not an expert) but... I spoke to my brother (informatic engineer) and he told me that it is not an obvious choise because even if GPU is not the best it can still make the engine run better than the CPU release due to lc0 optimization for GPU.

What do you think about?

Can I download both version and test them by playng them against each ohter in the same pc?

Thanks

Definitely download both versions and test

Its quite possible GPU does better for you.  Even with your CPU you probably only get 1 game per hour, that's how behind CPU is.  I wouldn't be surprised if you do better with GPU

I have a very similar laptop; my recollection is that the GPU version was roughly 2x the performance of the CPU version.
Unfortunately the laptop is back in Australia and I am in the UK on holidays just now, so I cannot verify this.

If you do use the CPU version, look into the bmi (I think?) coded ones.  They use a few extra CPU directives to make the speed more like a slow GPU than... well Leela really isn't meant to be run on CPUs.  But there are versions that make it tolerable, and your i78550 is almost certainly compatible.  So if you can find them, use that as the standard for the CPU test, since there's no way it will make it worse.

Here, let me find a link:

That will have two clients: a bmi client and a popcnt client.  The popcnt client is for folks who can't get the bmi client to work.
