Dear Committee members

Just wanted to let you know that for safety reasons we’ve made the decision to postpone.

Please let us know if anything further is required.

Hi Finn

It’s a shame but we agree. Will ask the team for a new date for next week?

I think we have to le the Committee know if we are postponing, right?

Best wishes,

Andrea

Hi all

I just wanted to check in on weather. We’ve had thunder here and constant rain for most of the day. This comes off the back off lots of rain yesterday, so I do have a concern about safety in terms of slipping and sliding even if there are breaks in the rain.

I’m in another league and have seen that lots of games seem to be getting called off – would you be open to a reschedule?

Best wishes

Finn

Hi Finn

That all sounds good – the weather seems to be pretty changeable at the moment so I imagine we’ll have to monitor it through the afternoon.

Nd just to clarify, yes, I meant that I would get another female player who is similar to my batting capabilities (which, for the record, are not strong) and then I’d run. So the reverse of having a runner.

Best wishes,

Andrea

Hello Andrea

Sorry for the delayed response, been a hectic week here.

Sorry to hear about your elbow, injuries really suck. We are comfortable with having someone replace you in the batting order, not sure if you intended to run or have them bat and run, I’d say see how your elbow is as you wouldn’t want to fall and hurt it more (same goes for fielding!), but either way all fine with us so long as we go with principles in the email re stand in.

Let’s keep an eye on weather. Think we’ve got a bit of flex in terms of rest weeks, so not averse to rescheduling if weather not looking good, shall we check in at 12pm and see where we are? And then maybe further check in in afternoon if needed?

Best wishes

Finn

Hello

Looking forward to the match on Thursday. I just wanted to check in with you guys as I’ve been having issues with my elbow (potential tennis elbow) for the last two weeks (I didn’t play last week as I was at a work thing) and not sure if it will be well enough to bat (or sensible to do so). I checked in with the committee (see attached) as there wasn’t any guidance on having a stand-in batter, in the same way that you can have a runner if your leg is dodgy. The short answer is that they have said that it would need to be agreed with the captains and, obviously, if agreed then the stand-in batter would need to match my gender and ability. So far we’re just right on numbers counting me so would be great if I could play. An eleventh person might join later in the evening so I also could possibly just play the first couple of innings with a stand-in batter and then the new person could play the last half of the match, which might be better for me anyway. Let me know if that works for you or not.

Otherwise, hope everything is good on your side? The weather is looking a bit suspect at the moment but we’ll have to see how it goes.

Best wishes,

Andrea

Hi Andrea,

No worries, as appreciate I was a little ahead of the game with going away tomorrow.  Yes, let's lock in next Thursday and Regents Park is great.

I won't be making the game sadly, but @Finn Rowe will be able to reconfirm next week all is good (weather is hit and miss by looks of it but let's hope that changes!)

Will update the team our end for next week - hope you all have a great game!

Melissa

Hi Melissa

Sorry, am out of the office for some strategy sessions so losing track of the days.

Thursday is our better day so let’s lock that in.

And would Regent’s Park be ok? We usually find a spot by the Marylebone Green Area.

Best wishes,

Andrea

Hi Melissa

Thanks for getting in touch – I was just in touch with the others about the need to organise this so you read my mind. Wednesday was possibly our strongest day but we are now seeing who we can rally for Tuesday or Thursday so will get back to you early next week to confirm (Thursday is looking best for now)

Regent’s Park is also likely to work better for us but will let you know.

Best wishes,

Andrea

Hey Green Pandas,

Little bit head of the game here, but I go away next week Thur, and just wanted to get ball rolling in terms of setting up our next game which is W/C 8th June as I will still be away that week, and normally sort the admin out, so have CC other Co/ Captains so they can pick this up.

Hope you are having a good season so far.

In terms of dates, Tuesday and Thursdays are our best nights for numbers, but Wednesday is just a no go.

We've played a lot of Thursdays recently, so our top preference would be a Tuesday to allow some other of our players to have a game.

Also, Weavers Field, Regents Park are out top preferences, then Hyde Park.

Let me know thoughts/provisional dates, and then if not confirmed by next Thur, I will leave it with Rob/Finn to pick up.

Thanks

Melissa
