Folks:

Are we on for this Thursday (the 10th)? If so, where?

Cheers,

Doreen

Hi,

I have a possible GFI (grandchild family interrupt) 5:pm - 6:45 on Thurs. I will know more tonight.

Back office building is available, but cluttered.

I have nothing of interest to present. It would be nice to see Matt's new place, sooner or later.

Hello All,

I also have nothing to present. Doreen, would your husband like to be
guest speaker at one of our meetings? He probably has some interesting
projects or experience to share.

I'd also like to officially move our meetings to the 4th Thursday of
every month. Any objections?

hope you are well and talk to you soon,

Matthew

Gentlemen:

The 4th Thursday it is, then. Dennis normally has board gaming on
Thursday nights, which is why you don't see him at the LUG meetings,
either. I'll talk to him to see whether he has anything extra-
curricular other than basic HTML website maintenance.

Cheers,

Doreen

I would be willing to do an intro to Common Lisp if there is an
interest.

Matthew:

I'm always game for someone outlining/summarizing a new language. If
nothing else, it saves me the hassle of skimming a book or hacking my
way through the online booger-flicking contests that pass for
discussion of the pros/cons of any language. ;-)

Cheers,

Doreen

Where are we meeting? What sort of presentation would be optimal for
the space? Is there a white board? Does anyone have access to a
projector? Is it kind alarming seeing that many question marks in one
paragraph?

I am a novice speaker, but I'll try to adapt. However, I have a
feeling that VNC (for example) is kind of distracting for an organized
talk.

My hackerspace room will be ready (functional) by the forth Thursday of
the month. I don't yet have a white board or projector, but I can work
on getting them. I'm resourceful :)

My new location is 219 South 7th Street in downtown La Crosse. We
haven't decided to meet there for sure, but I'm offering to host.

talk to you soon,

Matthew

We also haven't decided that I will be presenting, but unless there are
any other offers, can we make it official?

Matthew:

You offered; therefore it is graven unto stone. ;-) I haven't
trundled down to OrangeComputer's new digs, so I'm all for shamelessly
imposing on Matthew Metzger's offer of hospitality...assuming that it
doesn't hurt HandiGadget's feelings, of course. Brian???

Cheers,

Doreen
