I've installed the software for the Canon MG 3560 all in one printer as well as the Canon IJ scan Utility however when I try and launch the scanner utilty it comes up with an error message " A scaner driver supporting this software is not installed. Install it and try again. Code:15,230,0"

I just read some information on the web site about the IJ Scan Utility and it mentions that you must install the ICA scanner driver. So download the ICA driver I have provided a link to above and install. Then see if you can open the IJ Scan Utility.

Thanks PAHU, I did find these drivers on the canon website but when I installed them all the printer is working fine but the scanner software is stilll saying that the "scanner driver that supports the software is missing". Im not sure where else to look for this driver as the one on the canon website didnt fix the problem>?

Yes this was the driver I installed already but still with no luck! I have pretty much installed all the drivers on the canon website that could potentially help but with no luck. Which is what made me think it might be an apple driver i am missing. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you open Image Capture, located in the Applications folder, and see if you can use this application to scan. It uses the same ICA driver as the IJ Scan Utility so in theory if you can scan with Image Capture, then the scanner driver is correctly installed.

If the MG is connected to the Mac via USB cable, then it will appear under the Devices heading in the left pane of Image Capture. If the MG is networked, then it should appear under the Shared heading.

Open System Information and select Printers in the left column. If you have more than one printer, they will be listed in the top right pane. Select the MG to show informationin the bottom right pane. If the MG is the only connected printer, then its information will be shown by default.

Okay. After installing the ICA driver for the MG35xx I have a package called Canon IJScanner13f in the Devices folder. So with you not having this same package in your Devices folder there must be something going wrong with the installation of the ICA v3.1.0 driver on your Mac.
