Hope you are all having a magnificent summer.

REMINDERS:
Monday, July 11 is a very important Band Booster meeting at 7 p.m. in the Band Room.  Items to be discussed include:
 - budget for 2011-2012
 - housing for band camp staff
 - meals for band camp
 - volunteers for band camp
 - uniforms
If you cannot attend, but you can house someone for us during band camp (August 1-5), please let me know ASAP.  I need housing for 5 people.  You provide breakfast and a bed; you may need to transport them to school as some of them will be carpooling from out of town and may not have a personal vehicle.

[Obviously I hit SEND by mistake before finishing this earlier.]

PERCUSSION:  Percussion Week starts MONDAY at 8:30 a.m.  We will start at the high school but will move to the 9th grade band room; parents please pick up at 5:30 at the 9th grade campus.  The best place for parent pickup is in the bus loop.

COLOR GUARD:  Color Guard Week also starts MONDAY at 8:30 a.m. at LCHS.

DANCELINE:  Your rehearsals are this week as scheduled by Mrs. Bagley.  You are meeting in the GYM at the 9TH GRADE CAMPUS.

EVERYONE ELSE:  We have a music rehearsal on Thursday night at 6 p.m. in the Band Room.  If you are in town, you should be there!  The music is very challenging this year, and we need to get a head start.

SOLOS:  There are a few solos/solis in the show:  alto sax, trumpet, mello, trombone, and tuba.  Auditions will be July 28 right at the end of our first day of band camp.  ("How do I get the music so I can practice?" you ask.  Come to rehearsal on July 14 and July 21!)

I apologize for the changes in locations - we had to maneuver around drama camp and cafeteria renovations.

I am almost done with the music for the halftime show.  You can listen to a computer rendition online at https://sites.google.com/site/lchstrojanband/2011show.

Hope it rained at your house!
Mr. Carter
