Forwarding an email from the LVHOF in support of the Local Coastal Program for the Santa Monica Mountains. I believe this is a good land use plan, worthy of support. Two things I like are that it protects open space, including equestrian uses, and limits development, including continued conversion of open space to vineyards. 

The LCHOF is encouraging attendance at the hearing, held before the LA County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration, Room 381B, 500 West Temple Street, Los Angeles.

Federation Delegates - 

Without going into a lot of detail in this email - be advised:

1. We now need as many people as possible to go to the BOS hearing on August 26 - to testify in favor of our LCP. We will be carpooling - please let me know if you can also drive. Rally as many of your neighbors/friends and bodies as you can. 

2. On Monday a.m. I will be distributing an e-blast letter of support - it is imperative that we get this to BOS in significant numbers by Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. Please distribute to any and all in your HOA's/orgs and in your networks. 

I have attached a press release and a link for your perusal from the renewed opposition. They have launched a PR campaign against

​ our LCP to try and derail it at this the eleventh hour "in support of vineyards". It is being lead by the usual culprit.... 

 

We shall prevail.
