Good day

This is a personal message from me to the Liberty Canyon townhome community.

I just wanted to point out that a month ago I mentioned precious potable water is being wasted in two key locations on Yankee Drive.

The issues persists, water is flowing like a stream along the west side of Yankee – and it originates from our landscaping.

This is not just during times when the sprinklers are on. Yesterday, as the Santa Ana winds were blowing, the water was still percolating along a portion of sidewalk

And flowing from a drain – near Endeavor and Yankee. I will be happy to share photos.

I do feel that the landscapers should have caught this by now.

Instead, I see them spending a lot of time racking the dirt, blowing dust around – and (from my perspective anyway) over-clipping bushes that in blooming.

I was at a water budget rate structure meeting at LVMWD this morning – and I know for sure this type of waste is going to cost us a lot.

This message is to make sure residents, management and board members are aware and take action on this.

I think we all can agree – we need to use water wisely – this is why we converted our landscaping.
