Mathematica and SystemModeler are both available to UM faculty, staff and students for courses and research projects. Mathematica can be used for computation and visualization, authoring interactive documents, writing programs and creating mouse-driven explorations. SystemModeler, on the other hand, is ideal for physical modeling and simulation, so you can explore how systems work through realistic, multi-system models across different application areas. When used together, Mathematica and SystemModeler offer a powerful way to create models, run simulations and analyze the results.
