Lab Cleaning [COMPULSORY to ALL lab members!]

Dear ALL lab members,

We will have lab cleaning at NME, BLOCK M, level 3. There will be 2 rounds:

1st : 16th August 2018 (2.30pm)

2nd: 20th August 2018 (10 am)

For those available today, you have to come to the lab. 

Others will do the second round on Monday. 

We will sort out the chemicals, wipe the floor,bench,etc. and get rid the chemical waste. Previous samples will be thrown away unless you inform us to keep them.

PLEASE GIVE YOUR COOPERATION. ATTENDENCE IS COMPULSORY! WE'RE IN THIS, TOGETHER.

Thank you to Nik, Syafie,Susilawati,Shafinie, Tanalou, Hazirah and Iman for the hard work. We have managed to:

1. Sort out acid, solvents and other chemicals ( in the clean and synthesis room). All the chemical bottles had been placed in the designated place. Please put them back after you use it, and do not leave it at the working space. The chemicals that have been bought via research grant are meant to be shared among us. Do not kept it by yourself.

2. Discarded most of old samples. 

3. Listed and recorded all of the chemicals and soon will be available for all. 

Tons of Acetone bottles are in our possession. Please DO NOT buy it more.

For the second round, we will do few more cleaning and sorting. Please come on Monday.

We have been informed that Shafiah's chemicals will be collected by Dr Shaiful tomorrow. By the way, she's warded today, please pray for her fast recovery. Insya Allah.

p/s: On Friday, Shafinie want to do some labelling for the instrument. If you are free, please lend her a hand.

Greetings and salam alaik,

Last Friday, we continued to clean and arranged tables and instruments with the assistance from engineering technican and staff. Lab members (Iman, Hazirah, Navid, Shahrir, Susi, Shafinie and me) are able to organize most of the waste, lab tools and categorized accordingly. All the waste boxes need to be sent to Y block tomorrow. We could really need a bunch of guys to assist on that matter. Plus, we have to move the gas tank near the sink to the fumehood area. The corner has been emptied. 

There are more work needed to be done. Please come on Monday.

Chemicals list recorded by Navid and Susi will be provided soon after some editing.
