Hello all,
Many of you know of the issues that have emerged this year around the Green Fee Fund, and some of you are just learning of it now. I am sending to you an explanation of the situation as it currently stands, as well as our written response to VP Carl Vance. I am writing to you today asking for your support in strengthening the student response to the recent inappropriate actions of Carl Vance and the Business Office.
Please take a few moments to read the documents over, and to sign the petition that supports the funding of six student projects that the Business Office rejected, an action which was against the wishes at the authority of the Green Fee Committee. We cannot tolerate uncontrolled administrative actions that show a complete disregard for student voice and student potential. Let's gather together and respond to this year's injustices as strongly as we can.
I encourage you to send this email along to any and all members of the Lewis & Clark community, as well as the larger Portland community. If you are a club leader, we would love it if you could send this along to your club members. Let's get absolutely as many signatures on this petition as possible so we can respond as a cohesive community.
