Hello friends, it's been a rough winter here at the Rusty Nail. Last semester, we hosted a show in which campo found alcoholic containers in the space. After a meeting with the PRA, the Rusty Nail was found responsible for violating the alcohol policy. As part of the conditions, the Rusty Nail was put on probation under which it was stated in the event of the Rusty Nail violating the alcohol policy, we would be shut down. The coordinators filed an appeal. Over snowpocolypse weekend, the Rusty Nail held a show that campo shut down after claiming that the alcohol policy was violated. Swipe access to the space was revoked. We are unsure of what is happening with the space at the moment, but the co op continues to exist as a student organization invested in students. If you would like access to the related documents, send us an email at co...@lclark.edu. If you want to demonstrate your support, write a letter explaining why the co op is important to you. Email those to us too.

xoxo,
the Rusty Nail

The Co-op is an essential part of Lewis & Clark. I can't imagine not having it there, it's the best hang out space on campus. There needs to be a place where students can convene separate from the various dorms to enjoy music poetry etc. It's a welcoming, happening place and this news is very upsetting to me.
