FINAL ALL CLASSES CANCELLED TODAY

Dear Students:
As of 7:30, UJ has still not issued a closure decision. However, based on my conversations with our contacts, there is a possibility that they will announce at 9:00 a delay until 10:00. There is also a possibility that they will then decide to close at 11:00. Based on this, CIEE is pre-emptively cancelling all classes at this point.
A make-up schedule for exams in Dialect will be posted on Tuesday.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding that weather cancellations in Jordan are not conducted in the same manner as they are in the United States.

GOOD MORNING. Classes will be delayed until 9:30. Those students with exams at 8:00 this morning will have their exams at 9:30. This decision follows delay announcements for schools and operations associated with the US Embassy and the EU. As of 6:15 Ministry of Education and Ministry of Higher Education have not made a decision and are announcing schools open, but as delays in those announcements have often resulted in commutes over closed or dangerous roads CIEE will act more conservatively and delay classes per ACS, ICS and ABS – private schools affiliated with international embassies. If there is a change you will be updated. Please leave extra time to find taxis.
