Bethany + Mount Nebo + Madaba (Saint George) + Mkawir

Time: | Route & Description: |
08:00 | Leave the University main gate to Bethany (Baptism Site of Jesus). |
09:00-10:15 | Arrive Bethany, visit the site, and leave to Mount Nebo. |
11:00-12:00 | Arrive Mount Nebo, visit, leave to Madaba (Saint George Chruch). |
12:30-13:00 | Arrive Saint George Church, visit then leave to Haret Jdoudna for Lunch. |
13:15-14:30 | Seated Lunch, leave to Mkawir. |
15:30-17:00 | Arrive Mkawir, climb to the top of the mountain, leave back to Amman. |
18:30 | Arrive Amman. |
Essentials:
2. Footwear: we recommend Sneakers, Hiking or walking shoes. It’s very important to wear something comfortable, remember that we will do a lot of walking. Shoes with a good grip are advised.
3. Hat and/or scarf: you must have something to cover your head
4. Sun-glasses
5. Sun block/ Sun screen
6. Camera - bring your camera, you'll regret it if you don't!
Nice to haves:
1. Panadol (headache medicine), and any other medicine that you might need for the day.
2. Snacks for the day (lunch is provided)
3. Any special items you find necessary to have on a Full Day trip. (e.g. Toilet paper, books, batteries for cameras... etc)
4. Extra money for souvenir shopping. You may come across something unique that you want to buy. Make sure you have your spending money.
