Subject: Toys for Tots Three on Three Basketball Tournament 12/10/10
To all who are interested there will be a Toys for Tots three on three basketball tournament to benefit two local orphanages (see below). The tournament will be hosted by the Marine Detachment from the US Embassy here in Amman. Please note the below details and attached flyer from the Detachment Commander....

Games will be half court and to 15 by ones and twos (a basket is one point, and a three pointer is two points).
No refs call your own fouls if it gets out of hand I will assign refs from each team no time limit.
All airballs, steals, must be cleared behind the free throw line or three point line.
If not that team maintains possession of the ball and the basket will not count.
There will be two games played at one time. Each game will have a score keeper.
We will have coolers with water and Gatorade for the players, and on sale for spectators will also have snacks for sale as well.
It will be a double elimination bracket tournament.
Limit is 4 players per team which includes one sub and cost per team is 30JD.
All proceeds go towards Toys for Tots the two organizations that we are giving toys and much more this year is we are giving to Holy Land Institute for the Deaf (150 kids age 5 -18) and Dar al Hub ran by Mother Theresa group with (11 disabled children). We are raising money to ensure that every kid gets a gift and we can purchase equipment for the 11 disabled children like wheelchairs, strollers, exercise equipment. I have attached the flyer.
